The nature trail is a 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Kössen village. All interesting sights in the forest are signposted.

The paths are easy and accessible to everyone. Benches and tables are available along the way for visitors to rest and linger on.

Going through the wild romantic "Giessenbachklamm" gorge offers a special nature adventure. It takes around 30 minutes to go through the cool gorge.

A the entrance to the gorge there is one of Europe's largest water wheels. It is entirely made of wood and is 7 metres in diameter and 2 metres thick. It revolves 4 times per minute producing roughly 20kW of electricity.

The Tyrolean open-air museum of farming is located on the east side of the Reintaler Lake, near Kramsach. It consists of 14 typical farm houses from various areas of the Tyrol region. The farmhouses and numerous out-buildings such as sawmills, mills, blacksmiths, an old school and two chapels give a good insight into the traditional rural and working lifestyle in the past.

The nailsmiths' houses offer a particularly picturesque view of Rattenberg and are situated on the west side of the entrance to the town, near the rocks. They were built in the 12th century. Inside is a particularly interesting handicraft museum.
